dynamic formula

TTPbyT1 =
VAR a =
    SUM( 'Daypart'[TTP_TY_1] )
VAR b =
    CALCULATE(
        SUM( 'Daypart'[TTP_TY_1] ),
        REMOVEFILTERS( 'Daypart' ),
        VALUES( Daypart[Period] )
    )
RETURN
    DIVIDE( a, b ) * 100
this is my formula i want to make it dynamic as in it selects all the columns from ttp_ty_1 to ttp_ty_12. here i want to calculate percentage of every column to the total for each category.

Hi @MorningStar_92 ,

According to your description, here are my steps you can follow as a solution.

(1) This is my test data.

vtangjiemsft_0-1700635673805.png

(2) We can create a measure.

TTPbyT1 =
VAR a =
    SUM( 'Daypart'[TTP_TY_1] )
VAR b =
    CALCULATE(
        SUM( 'Daypart'[TTP_TY_1] ),
        ALL('Daypart')
    )
RETURN
    DIVIDE( a, b ) * 100

(3) Then the result is as follows.

If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. Thank you.

Best Regards,

Neeko Tang

Unpivot your source data so you don't have the issue of variable number of columns.
