Hi
I have been having this issue of the drillthrough button not enabling when i filtered by more than one visual bu single value in each of them (Eg. Table 1 showed sales by country and Table2 had sales by salesperson. I selected a sales person and using CTRL selected 1 country from the list in the first table. the drill through button disabled).
today i came across following and would like to understand what is the ambiguity mentioned here due to which the buttong is disabled, as the filter was clear in identifying 2 fields to be used. and the Drill through does perform the action, except that the button does not get enabled -
Since the drill-through button isn't tied to a single visual, if your selection is ambiguous, then the button is disabled.
In this example, the button is disabled because two visuals both contain a single selection on Product. There's ambiguity about which data point from which visual to tie the drill-through action to:

@GVTioluxe : very righly descibed, facing exactly the same issue. right click drill through option is working, but with 2 separate fields selection (which are set as drill through option in the target page), Drill through button is not working
in case you got the solution, please do revert
Hi, @GVTioluxe
Based on your description, I created data to reproduce your scenario. The pbix file is attached in the end.
Table:
Here is the destination page 'Page 2' with drill-through fieds 'Name' and 'Name2'.
In 'Page 1', you may create a drillthrough button and two table visuals as below. Then you need to set the interaction type of two table visuals as 'None'
When you click 'c' on 'Name' and 'e' on 'Name2', the button is disabled because two visuals have two different data points pointing to different data. While the drill-through button isn't tied to a single visual, it can't determine which data point to use to drill through to the destination page and then the button is disabled.
Best Regards
Allan

Hi Allan
appreciate your reply. my question isnt anaswered though, and guess this will need to come from Microsoft -
"when i select one value from first table and anothe value from the second table and have set both these fields in the target report page as drill through fields, the right clic drill through is enabled and when you drill through it takes us to the target page applying the drill through values selected. If So, why isnt the button drill through which is expected to perform the same function not getting enabled and microsoft document says there is ambiguity.. If there is ambiguity eve right clisk drill through should not work isnt it?
in your own example what i described above is the scenario
