Hi,
I have set up a report on Power BI. It has few histograms. The histogram has three categories on the x axis, compliant, Non-compliant and Out of date. The y axis has number of devices. So the chart shows number of devices which are compliant, Non-compliant and Out of date. Now I want to drill down such that when I click the bar for compliant I should get the list of compliant devices, when I click the non-compliant bar I should get the list of non-compliant devices and when I click the out of date bar I should get the out of date devices. I tried new heirarchies and filters but I could not get this result. Does anyone know how to set this up.
The second question is my chart is a histogram, I want the drilled down chart to be in tabular formt. Is it possible? If yes, how can I keep the format of the drilled down chart i.e. the lower heirachy chart to be in tabular format while the upper heirarchy chart is a histogram?
Thanks

Thanks Dale, however I resolved the issue by rewriting the sql codes for the datasets.

Hi @amitabhk1971,
Did you use a histogram visual from the store, which is a custom visual? If so, I am afraid the histogram visual doesn't have the ability to drill down according to my test. Maybe there are workarounds.
1. Use a "matrix" visual. You can click the categories to drill down. (One visual is needed, the other one is for comparison.)
2. Use two "clustered column chart". Click on one chart will filter the other one.
Best Regards!

Hi Dale,
Thanks for your reply. In clustered column chart is it possible to set up the drill down reports as I mentioned? I tried but when I drill down to the lower level it shows all of the devices instead of only those which fall in the selected category, i.e. compliant/non-compliant/out of date.
Thanks,
Amitabh
