distinct count of mutiple events (daily) as one event per day

I have a table with multiple lines per day. each line has a unique ID number. There are varible persons overseeing these events each day. I would like to create a measure that provides the output below -  Example:

6	C	Tuesday

Write a new measure: 

# of persons = DISTINCTCOUNT ( data[person] )

Then pull the day from your data table and the new measure into a visual
