data appear only when selected

I have dummy data:

name                     value

ff                                dfg   

ss                                ytr

I am making graphs and matrix'es. A slicer is to control this. However I want for no data to be shown until the name has been chosen in the slicer. Is this possible?

You could try a measure like this - it will only return a value if name has one value in the context where the measure is shown.

Measure = 
IF(
    HASONEVALUE( Tabel1[Name] ),
    SUM( Tabel1[Value] )
)

@sdjensen sorry, I wrote incorrect dummy data. Instead of the value being type int, it is type String.
