Hi there,
I have a csv file. When import it from power bi desktop, there'll be 15 errors. However, there will be no errors if I open that csv file and load (from table) to power query. I even tried open a excel and get this csv file from "get data-csv data", then errors come again.
I guess this might be something to do with the csv file encoding but unsure about it. My temporary solusion is to convert the csv file to xlsx and import to power bi desk. However, I'd like to understand why this was happaning. Could anyonre please shed some light on it?
Very much appreciated your help.
Jun

@Jun_Wang when you import CSV files, it probably has a change type step which it auto-detects and maybe remove that step and correct set the data type of your columns. sometimes first 100 rows of data is different than other values in the columns and can lead to errors.

Appreciated your quick reply. Sorry I should have asked this further question togerher. Why there is no errors if I conver the same csv file to xlsx and import in?
@Jun_Wang , you can check it like this.
Go to the table in the edit query /data transformation mode. Right-click and open advance editor , check the data type in case of both excel and csv. Excel might have taken one column as text or some data type where is not giving error.
In Data transformation mode, you should also see the error message with the yellow background
