Hi
I did not understand the statment below. Is there any rule (math formula to calculate the boundaries. In the artical below, it is said that if the value is less than 200 then it will get green color. How? I mean, it must be a math formula to calculate which numbers will fall in 0% - 33% range, if yes how and what is the formula please. In the example it said that the dataset is 100 to 400. Thank you very much.

When you select Percent in this dropdown, you’re setting the rule boundaries as a percent of the overall range of values from minimum to maximum. So, for example, if the lowest data point was 100 and the highest was 400, the above rules would color any point less than 200 as green, anything from 200 to 300 as yellow, and anything above 300 as red.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The percentage setting looks only at the range from low to high then formats based on which bucket the value falls into. It does not look at the value itself.
If you have an actual % value like margin rate or completed % you need to use number to format the field then it will look at the actual value. .33 = 33% so the 30% value is green and the 40% value is yellow:

Thank you very much. Your example is out of this world! I learnt it easily with your example. Thanks once again. Appreicate it.
