conditional format clustered column chart power bi
I want Q1'25 to be orange. i have 2 measures, one for the light blue and one for the dark blue. cant figure out a way to change just the Q1 bar to be orange and the others to be dark blue.

brittanyruffin, if you are using two measures, go to Format Pane -> Columns, select the measure under Apply Settings, and change the color to whatever you want.
the light blue bar is 1 measure, dark blue is another measure. i need q1 of the dark blue to be orange and q2-q4 to be dark blue. if i go to that section it changes all values
brittanyruffin with two measures you cannot apply conditional formatting, it is one color for each measure or nothing.
To get creative, create 3rd measure, that will only return the values for q2 to q4, and the original measure you want to be orange should only return the value for q1. This way you will able to change the color of a single bar.
i tried that as well but then there are large spaces in the quarters where the orange bar is blank. i tried multiple dax calcs to eliminate the bar but nothing would work.
I'm not sure if this is possible using only clustered column charts.
If you really want to achieve this with a clustered column chart, maybe the only dirty fix left is to create two charts and overlay them.
Both charts should have the same Y-axis maximum, with the bottom chart as the normal chart and the top chart displaying the colored bar.
but like i said this is a dirty fix and there if be lots of limitations, don't recomand it unless you are desperately need a quick solution 😁

Thank you for the reply,I don't believe you can custom format the individual bars on clustered bar chart as there is no 'Advanced controls' option under 'Data colours', but still you can try overlaying two charts as suggested by kushan.
