combining Running Totals with separate Date dimension

Hi everyone,

I have found various solutions looking for a running total, among others the quick measures.

However, I can't get it to work in my current datamodel. In my model I have a date dimension to combine various sources (Order Intake, Target, Pipeline) in one chart.

Now I would like to create a running total on the OI.

The date table is linked to the other tables based on a datekey (an actual date field in the specific table in YYYYMMDD format).

So for instance:

Order table

OrdID	OrdValue	OrdDate	Datekey
001	500	30-10-2020	20201030

Pipe table

ID	Value	Date	Datekey
123	600	20-10-2020	20201020

date table

Datekey	Year	Yearmonth	etc
20201020	2020	2020-M10	...

When I create the quick measure based on OrdValue and OrdDate, it works like a charm as long as I have OrdDate as the x axis in the chart. But I need to create the measure based on the date table, so I will be able to combine data from Order, Pipe and other tables.
