Hi,
Running 2.141.1754.0 64-bit (March 2025) Power BI Desktop version. In the new button slicer, what is the behaviour of the Single Select toggle? It does not appear to enforce a single selection, using the Ctrl key one can make as many selections as they wish.Same behaviour in the service.
Am I missing comething?
Thank you!

Yepp, I can confirm that - only does what it says on the tin if force selection is switched on.

Hi @_onto_ ,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.
Thank you @kpost for the prompt response.
You are absolutely right - the "Single Select" option alone doesn’t strictly enforce single selection, especially when using Ctrl+Click. It only limits default click behavior to one item.
Toggling "Force Selection" to On ensures that:
Only one item is always selected.Ctrl+Click and clearing selections are blocked. The slicer behaves as a true radio-button style control.
Glad it worked for you - it's a small setting, but it makes a big difference in how the button slicer behaves.
Thank you.
So apparently this is not a bug 😶. It just doesn't do what it says. Call it "labelling incongruency".
I'm using the July release and it has a similar behavior. Definitely seems buggy, or at least not the behavior that one would expect. I just tested this and got it to work properly by toggling the "Force Selection" to "on" as well.
