app.powerbi.com refused to connect.

Hi all

I created an app in which I am connecting a dashboard from another workspace:

I selected the option content area, when I save and view app, I get this:

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks!

Hi @o59393 ,

According to your description, the reason for this phenomenon may be a lack of access to another workspace. You can visit the specific workspace to see if you have access or edit permissions to the report. If restrictions exist, you can contact the administrator of the corresponding workspace to assign the appropriate role.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Did this ever get resolved? Im an Admin of both wporkspaces and Tennant.

Publishing a link from another workspace in an app as "Content Area" aleays shows app.powerbi.com refused to connect. I do not want to show the report in a different tab or the same tab I want it within the App navigation pane.

I'm running into this issue, too. I'm an Admin in the Tenant and all Workspaces within that tenant. When I try to create a link from the Workspace with limited rights (that is, not Everyone in the Organization), I get the same error: app.powerbi.com refused to connect.

Since I have full rights everywhere, why am I not able to see this report? How do I resolve this?

(Edit: I just realized this is in the Desktop forum, but probably should be in the Service forum instead.)

OK, I went back to the original report and clicked the "File | Embed report | Website or portal" menu option and got a new link for it. That seems to have fixed it.

This sort of worked for me. I am trying to pass through filters via the URL and it would appear that when I go through the "File | Embed report | Website or portal" menu option, somewhere in there, the URL filters are stripped out. Any ideas?

Thanks arock-well, that did it
