always checked a maximum year in the filter

Hello,

I have a question, is it possible that the maximum year is always checked in the filter compared to the current year.
That is, when it is the new year, the filter is automatically moved to 2021.

Thanks

@LeaRupnik - Not exactly, the general solution is to use a relative date slicer (last 1 year) or to create a column in the table where you check if YEAR(TODAY()) = YEAR([Date]) and if so, return "This Year" versus YEAR([Date]) essentially. You use that in your slicer.

It's not elegant the second way. 😞

@LeaRupnik , There is no option like that.

Create a column like this in your date table and select this year from that

Month Type = Switch( True(),
year([Date]) = year(Today())-1,"Last Year" ,
year([Date])= year(Today()),"This Year" ,
Format([Date],"YYYY")
)

Last year code is option

Hi @LeaRupnik,

Current power bi does not support setting default value on slicer/filter, you can use bookmark to save the static selection value but they not able to dynamic changes based on the current date.

In my opinion, I'd like to suggest submit an idea for dynamic filter value based on the current date.
