Hello,
I have a data set which is updated remotely from teams around the world (data set Excel sheets live in OneDrive). The PowerBI system allows refreshes 8 times a day. Is there a way for an alert to be triggered when the most recent refresh captures NEW data (as apposed to a refresh which is just capturing the same data without changes)
Thanks in advance!
Hi @Anonymous
Currently, alerts can only be set on tiles pinned from report visuals, and only on gauges, KPIs and cards. Alerts can be set on visuals created from streaming datasets that have been pinned from a report to a dashboard, but cannot be set on streaming tiles created directly on the dashboard using Add tile > Custom streaming data.

It also means for now we can't create a alert to detect the status of dataset refresh. And there already exist an idea for it. You can vote it up.
Thanks,
Xi Jin.
