Anonymous - Some people have used a date slicer in order to "zoom" into a chart. Basically a slicer that limits the axis values.
I know it's old but I found it while looking for a solution.
Verify that your dates are actually treated as dates and not some other types (string being the usual suspect). When you use the date type, the x-axis automatically adjusts to your width.
