Hi all,
I have a question about year/month values.
I have a fact table with monthly values for employees. Besides that I have another fact table connected with the first fact table, but with yearly assessment values. This means that only for the first month of every year there is a assessment, though the assessment holds for all the year. I would like to slice and dice the the outflow of the employees (first fact table) by the last assessment, but of course there are also people leaving in other months than the first month of the year, which now doesn't give a result. Should I replicate the values in the assessment table such that I have monthly tables and if so how? Or is there another work around. I already have a measure that shows the last available assessment.
Thanks a lot for your help!
@LLT1021 , You can check if these approaches for distribution and allocation can work.
You both table should join to common dimension including date table
