Y axis dates are repeating the same year

I have a line and cluster chart with the Y axis being dates 20-01 thru 22-02.  The chart, however, only shows 2020 year repeated.  I can't seem to figure out why!  My date data is in a column with the column sort as the index column.  I tried uploading pics, but the form isn't allowing it.  What can I do to pull in all three years?  The dollars on the x axis are correct for all years.

Help!

Denise

Hi @Queen_Geek ,

Are these columns in a same table or different tables? If the are in different tables what's the relationship between them?

Best Regards,

Jay

They are in the same table.

@Queen_Geek can you post sample data as requested before and visuals with the wrong results.

I don't know why they aren't showing up.  I posted them.  Here they are.chart w dates repeating.jpgdata for chart w dates repeating.jpg

@Queen_Geek so I guess your question is on the bottom table where Jan-20 is repeating, correct?

That seems to be the data and showing date of each month although display format is changed to show only year and month.

Yes.  The client only wants month and year for all three years.

@Queen_Geek not sure how your table looks like but as a best practice, add date dimension in your model and use it for and time intelligence calculations. Once the date dimension is added, mark it as a date table on table tools.

Use year and month from this new data dimension after you have set a relationship between your tables.

I would  Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!
