Hi all,
Not sure if anyone came across this problem. Because data imported from CRM into PowerBi contains, instead of original values, codes, there is a need for creating sort of a lookup table using XRMToolBox. This tool creates a table containing the code with the value that is visible in CRM along with its code. The problem is that gap_value (which is the code) is not unique for different dropdowns. There is a unique referenceId but it is obviously not available within the original table. Option is to filter the values for particular dropdown box, then creating a table and setting up a relationship to replace codes with the actual values. However, what if I have 40 different drop downs ? Is there any other way PowerBi would enable me to solve this? Creating 40 additional lookup tables does not sound like the best solutio for me. The table from XRMToolBox contains information on what is the entityname (table name) and the column name that it targets.
Thanks for your help.

It's not supported to install any add-on or plugin like XRMToolBox in Power BI Desktop. I'm not sure if you can export those lookup tables created in XRMToolBox to a database or a file and use them as data source in Power BI, ohterwise you have to create these lookup tables manually.
Regards,
