X-axis on Stacked Column Chart (Sep 2021 release)

Hi all, I need to figure out a way to reshape the x-axis on a stacked column chart in PBI Desktop Sep 2021 release. In PBI Service, the items in the x-axis gets automatically merged. How can I do the same in the desktop?pbi.jpg

Didn't work, or make any visible changes on the chart.

@Anonymous , concatenate label - off is by default for the last few months, previously it was on by default
