X axis in bar chart

Hello everyone,

I would like to have the x-axis named according to the data, and not be placed at the top of the chart. For example in the attached picture, the "Banking, Commercial, Education, etc" i want them to be placed in the x-axis under each bar. So how can i do that?

Thanks in advance.

Okay.

So "Banking, Commercial, Education, etc" are separate columns.

Try the below steps;

1)Go to Transform Data.

2)Right click and select the columns which you want in your X axis.

3)Go to Transform from the upper tab and select 'Unpivot columns'.

4)You will get a 'Attribute' column.

5)Go to File ->Close and Apply.

6)On your report page, pick a visual and drag 'attribute' column on the Axis field and your calculation or measure on the 'Values' field.

If this post helps, then mark it as 'Accept as Solution'.

Hi @Anonymous .

Put "Banking, Commercial, Education, etc" in 'Axis' field and not in 'Legend' field.

@SanketBhagwat,

Tahnk you for your reply, but when i do that, the bar chart gets empty and all the data are gone.

Put any measure or calculation or any column in the 'Values' field.

@SanketBhagwat,

Okay that worked but for the x-axis only the fist data is showing; which is banking in this case. and all other categories are not shown in the chart.

can you share a screenshot of your expected output?

@SanketBhagwat ,

As you can see in the below screenshot, only one category is shown and the other categories are not.
