Working with Weekly Datasets

Hello all,

I am working on dashaboard updated weekly and reading from a folder has seperate excel sheet for each week. i have few inquires as follows:
1- What is the optimum name for each week file?
2- In the dashboard, How can combine/aggregate the date into monthly, quarterly, Biannually and Annualy?

@moabaza Optimum name for each week file would identify the week but not sure that matters as long as there are dates in the data. Create a Folder query to import all of the weekly files in the folder.

 

You would create a date table with the month, quarter, year, etc. You mark it as a date table and relate it to your fact table. You then can use the columns from the date table like Year and simple measures like SUM('FactTable'[Value]) in your visuals and they are automatically combined.
