Why isn't a country showing on my map visual?

I am looking at Countries in the African Region. I have made sure that the country names align with Power BI. all of the countries are fine apart from DR Congo. I've tried it as Democratic Republic of the Congo and it doesn't like that either! Any thoughts?

Hi @Sal_Brown51 ,

Try “Congo” or “Democratic Republic of the Congo”, that should work.

I've tried EVERYTHING every way. I just don't get it? 😞

Can you use this "Republic of the Congo" and this "Democratic Republic of the Congo"?

I've got Rep. of Congo it's the Democratic Republic of the Congo that's not picking up in the filled map. However, if I change it to the regular map with the bubbles - it's there! But I don't want that one. DR Congo.png

You could try using just "Congo, Democratic Republic of" or "DR Congo" as alternatives. Sometimes, the shorter names work better in data tools.

Thank you. I had already done that, but it's just DR Congo that won't come up. When I look at the table view though, it's there! Map Visual DR Congo.png

Ahh Congo (DRC) is what you want: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/bingmaps/coverage/geographic-coverage

Hi @Sal_Brown51

From the Data Pane on the right hand side select your Country column.

Then under Column tools change the category to Country
