Why can't I drag and drop into DAX generated Date hierarchy?

Hello everyone, 

I am following this udemy course on Power BI, where we created a Date Table using DAX and we also disabled Auto date/time for new files in the options.

In the video, the instructor created a new date hierarchy by right clicking on the Year column and clicked on "add hierarchy" and he then was able to drag and drop the Quarter column onto the newly created Year Hierarchy object like this

When I tried to do the same thing by dragging Quarter onto the Year Hierarchy, I get a No Entry icon like this

Do you know why that might the case?

this can only be done in the data model view, while in the report view you need to click on the three dots and click add to hierarchy

You can accomplish that in the Model View.
