When need to apply open bracket for table name ?

Hi All

Below need open and close bracket :-

Measure = sumx('TABLE',if([sign] =2, -1*[sales],[sales]))

Below dont need open and close bracket :-

LYTD = CALCULATE(SUM(INVENTORY[YTD]), DATEADD(DATESYTD('Date'[Date]), -1, YEAR))

Hi @Anonymous ,

We can omit the single quotation marks if the table name does not start with a number, does not contain spaces, and is not a reserved word (like Date or Sum).

@Anonymous , I think you are talking about Single Quote  '

This is needed in table name if the table name is a reserved word of Power BI (The word which also used by power bi functions or some other places).

Example Date, Table , Min, Max etc
