Hi @seenukancharla ,

When you set up Import mode against a data source, almost full data copied and cached , that you can see the loading time is much more longer than other mode, but modelling the report is faster.

When you set up DirectQuery or live connection against a data source, the Power BI service will make live queries against the data source when users interact with report visuals. In addition, the service also keeps a cache for dashboard visuals created against the data source. This enables extremely quick loading of dashboards. Periodically, this cache is updated in a process called scheduled cache refresh.

Hi @seenukancharla ,

You can extract the pbix in depth , 3 connection move contains different files, also the size of the file indicate the data stored in the mode:

Picture1.png

Report:  The report sheets, the placement of the visuals and all of their related properties

DataMashup File: The DataMashup file contains all of your Query Editor information.

DataModel File: The DataModel file is the file that actually stores all of your data in a highly compressed format.

DiagramState File: The DiagramState file  stored the information for the Table and Matrix locations.

Metadata: The Metadata file contains all the names with regards to what you see when in the Report View.
