What is a measure in a table / what is the Measure Tools?
I'm looking at a PowerBI desktop that someone else created and it has a Measure in it. Can someone explain to me conceptually what a measure is? What does it do? How does it work? How do I create one?
See two screen shots below for the conext where I'm looking. It's in a table as well as being used in a visualization to filter on the current month.

Check, what is measure and what is column at :https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/calculated-columns-and-measures-in-dax/
Measure is typically a definition that is resolved at run time. And the row context is very important because it is calculated at run time.
