Hello folks,
Have a great time ahead !
I am new to power bi desktop and managed to create our production dashboards with excel data downloaded from front user end server of our production line.
To keep live of this dashboard, I need download excel data from the server everytime.
My target is to connect the power bi data source to directly with the server?
As information received from outsourced developer, it is running in "phpMyAdmin" server.
So, I tried to select get data-> MySQL database but error shows as "This connector required one more additional componenets.."
(Refer server image where actually data is storing, sent by outsourced developer which has no access to me"
Can anybody please help me out what are the things to be done for first step to last step to execute this?

Hi @Karthik12 ,
From the error message, it looks like you didn't install the correct MySQL connector successfully. You can download the ODBC Driver for MySQL(connector/ODBC) from below link, this connector worked well in my environment.
Also, here is a similar thread for your reference: Cannot connect to local MySQL database
Did I answer your question? Mark my post as a solution!

Hi Mr.Amit,
Thanks for the response. You meant "ODBC drivers"?
I have installed ODBC server with the help of our IT team (ref image attached).
But, When I selecting Get data->MySQL database, still asking connector.
I understood, We need to connect MySQL to our ODBC driver. Correct?
if yes, can you please tell me how to connect phpMyAdmin server to my driver?
