We need to calculate the number of orders.

We need to calculate the number of orders.

Create

a calculated measure that uses the COUNTA(Order_ID) DAX formula?

OR

a calculated measure that uses the SUM (Order_ID) DAX formula?

OR

a calculated column that uses the SUM (Order_ID) DAX formula?

OR

a calculated column that uses the COUNTA (Order_ID) DAX formula?

which one is right?

Hi buddy,

Try use a measure with:

DISTINCTCOUNT([NoORDER])

this would give you the number of distinct Nº of orders.

Any questions, ask 😉

Thanks for answer. Can you explain which is correct from below 1 and 2?

1 a calculated measure that uses the COUNTA(Order_ID) DAX formula?

OR

2 a calculated measure that uses the SUM (Order_ID) DAX formula?

OR

a calculated column that uses the SUM (Order_ID) DAX formula?

A simple

Measure = DISTINCTCOUNT(order ID)  should do the trick.

Or you can just drag your column of ORDER ID directly into a visual and have it display the count or distinct count of the values.

cheers
