Waterfall bridge with too many variables

Power BI community,

I need a help with making this waterfall chart prettier.

Sample BI

I have a waterfall chart comparing cost by vendors.

However, I have 100 vendors and this bridge is too difficult to see.

I only want to show a waterfall bridge with 10 vendors and rest as "Others".

How can I show top 10 vendors with the biggest variance and group the rest as "Others"?

Also, I would like to create a table with a top 10 vendors by cost and how cumulative % share such as below.

Apologies I had missed that link.

Do you want the TOP x to be flexible?

How can I show top 10 vendors with the biggest variance and group the rest as "Others"?

Please define "biggest"  - By value, by percentage?  Absolutes?

Yes top 10 vendors need to be flexible as they change every month.

The biggest by the highest spenders by value.

That would show only the top 10 positive values.  Not a real bridge?

Apologies for a slight confusion.

I want 2 outcomes in this report.

1. A bridge to simply capture top 10 vendors (in absolute value) and the rest grouped as "others"

2. A list of top 10 vendors/spenders by value

These 2 top 10 will not match since 1 is in absolute and 2 is in value.

Regards,

H

here's a first approximation, showing the top 20 contributors by absolute variance.

I am not sure this will help much though as the "Other"  chunk is much bigger.

This is amazing Ibendlin!

This is a dummy data I created for this practice.

In real data, what would be classified as "others" are many variances close to 0, which I want to group them together.

In the BI report, it shows the waterfall chart as shown in the screenshot as well as the full set of data.
