When I build a waterfall chart and drag fields into Tooltips, it shows me the inputs for both the initial period and final period. For Example: I built a chart comparing Capital Spending by Project between 2018 and 2019. I dragged the Project Manager field into Tooltips, but when I hover over a project delta, it shows me 2018 Project Manager and 2019 Project Manager. What if I only want to see 2019 Project Manager? Can I edit this in the Tooltip without changing the integrity of my chart? Thanks!
You can make some settings to filter the year in Visual level filters under Filters pane, or you may put the date field into Slicer visual as filter.
Best Regards,
Amy

Thanks for the reply. However, when I do this it changes the way my waterfall looks. I only want to filter what is shown in the ToolTips.
Hi @keithwanamaker ,
Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to implement in Power BI currently. You can post your new idea here https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas , to improve the Power BI.
It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
Best Regards,
Amy
