Hi there,
I tried creating a waterfall chart in Power BI. It generates a perfect chart with the correct data when nothing is included in the breakdown. However, when the breakdown is included, the rows repeat itself and messes up the whole calculation. I also tried zeroing the different rows but it didn't work as far as I know that the waterfall chart calculate the difference and visualize it.
I was wondering if anyone can help me resolve this issue.
Thanks.
Hi @abapfb ,
You may refer to the article : https://www.wiseowl.co.uk/blog/s2552/waterfall-chart-breakdown.htm.
I am not sure what desired result would you want, could you please share your sample data and desired output screenshots for further analysis? You can also upload sample pbix to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.

I have sorted the code by the index column. It did work somehow, however another issue was raised is that I cannot show the milestones (years) as total. I'm not quite sure how I can solve that.
Hi @abapfb ,
Could you please show us the issue and desired output in screenshot for further analysis?

Amy
@abapfb , Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.
