Hi Everyone,
I have built a Waterfall chart in PowerBI, and I'm struggling with the following: I'm trying to compare, for instance, the current forecast against Budget. I know there are 2 ways of building the waterfall chart: fixed attributes or dynamic. In my case, it needs to be dynamic, because the idea is show the top10 customer driving the higher variations (and "others"). The issue that I'm facing is that, depending if Forecast > Budget, or Budget > Forecast, and as I'm sorting as decending or ascending, it changes the Current FC and Budget colums to the right or left. Is it possible to fix the Current FC column at the right side of the chart? Changing the way that the waterfall is built, it shows a different calculation because the order is backwards.
Here's an example:
The Current FC bar should be on the right. The way it is right now, the measures by customers are backwards (should be negative, not positive, etc).
Thank you in advance for helping me with this.
Best regards
RA

Hi @Ric_A ,
In Power BI, the Waterfall chart's behavior is designed to show a running total as values are added or subtracted, which inherently makes the positioning of the columns dependent on the data's sorting order.
