Custom Sorting in the waterfall chart

Hi All,

 

I have a waterfall chart with category and the count.  I want to sort the category in a specific order and not based on alphabetical order.

Currently it does not work when I place the sorting order column in the report. 

 

Is there any way to do that ?

I have the model based on SSDT/SSAS. So all the logic has to be on SSDT.

    HI akj2784,

     

    Current it only support to use category and y-axis column to sort, maybe you can modify 'sort by column' property to use other column as the sort order.

    Sort by column in Power BI Desktop

     

    If sort by column also not work, I'd like to suggest you submit an idea for this requirement.

    I was able to sort the column by applying sort based on another column at SSDT level.

      Dear akj2784,

      i am currently having the same problem where i have to sort but also are using SSDT.

      are you able to specify how you manage to sort the columns? 

      at SSDT level i got a order column that i would like to sort by.
