Hi, I have already refreshed the dataset, but the visuals are not refreshing. Please advise !
Hi @Manasi25
It looks like you’re refreshing the dataset from Power BI Desktop, but the visuals aren’t updating as expected.
Here are a few things to check:
Check if you're only refreshing the preview in Power Query
Sometimes users refresh only the preview in Power Query (PQ) instead of refreshing the full report. If that’s the case, make sure to click Refresh from the main report view (front end), not just from Power Query. That’s the only way the visuals will update with the new data.
Check if the page is the result of a drillthrough or a bookmark
I noticed in your screenshot a grey arrow icon, which might indicate you're on a drillthrough page or navigating via a bookmark.
If this is a drillthrough page, filters from the source page could be restricting the data. Try navigating to the page directly (not via drillthrough) to test if the data appears as expected.
If it’s a bookmark, check if it’s configured to include data. If so, the filters from the original page are locked. You can go to the bookmark settings and uncheck the “Data” option to prevent filter locking.
Check report-level and page-level filters
Make sure no filters (manual or bookmark-applied) are restricting the visuals unexpectedly.
Publish & refresh on Power BI Service
If this report is already published, make sure the data was actually refreshed in the Service, and that you're not just looking at an outdated version. Try using the "Refresh now" option in Power BI Service or republish the PBIX after a local refresh.
