hi Friends,
I'm using Direct Query mode to loading data for visuals but it's taking 5-6 seconds.
Is this possible to improve the performance please
Thanks
Hi @Guru123 ,
Here are a few focused recommendations:
1. Optimize data source performance and model design;
DirectQuery model guidance in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
2. Optimize DAX Queries. This might involve simplifying calculations or using more efficient functions. The guide on DAX optimization is a good place to start:
Optimization - SQLBI
Introducing the Power BI Performance Analyzer - SQLBI
3. Each visual on a report page sends a query to the data source. Reducing the number of visuals can decrease the load on your data source and improve performance.
4. Composite models can be enabled in some cases:
Use composite models in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
5. Use the apply all slicers button to avoid additional queries:
Create Apply all and Clear all slicers buttons in reports - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Best Regards,
Gao
