Hi community,
I need help creating a dashboard that visualizes the remaining time a person has left after having worked on a project per week. I have the following data structures:
- Hours used: ProjectID | Hours Used | Timestamp
- Project: ProjectID | Available hours
- Person: Name | Capacity
- Capacity (Adds the person table details weekly): Name | Capacity | Week number
I already have the Project[remaining hours] = Project[Available hours] - Hours[Hours Used]. However, I don't know how to connect this to the capacity/person so that I can visualize the remaining hours a person has left per week in a bar chart.
I am also not able to calculate the remaining Capacity[weeks until finish all the outstanding work] = Capacity[Capacity] / Project[Remaining hours] for a data card visual.
For both visualizations I would like to be able to filter by week number to gain insights on the [Remaining hours] & [weeks until finish all the outstanding work].
I look forward to hearing whether you guys can guide me on the steps to make the visualizations.

Thank you, for your response. I have figured out the simple issues.
I just needed to create a bridge date table, and make sure all columns are of the date type.
Next time, I will make sure to put my question in the recommended format of either tables including data structure or a power bi with screenshots of the desired results.
Please provide sample data (with sensitive information removed) that covers your issue or question completely, in a usable format (not as a screenshot). Leave out anything not related to the issue.
If you are unsure how to do that please refer to https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-provide-sample-data-in-the-Power-BI-...
Please show the expected outcome based on the sample data you provided.
