Hi all,
I would like to visualize GIS polygons based on wgs84 coordinates in PowerBI. Untill now I only was able to visualize points. Does anyone know how this can be done? If not, are there any workarounds? Or when will PowerBI add this feature?
Thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
Falco
Hi Falco,
We just added this in the ArcGIS Visual and we will be blogging on it soon. You can use a shape field for Location and we'll read it. There are some limitations with Power BI that can cause some issues.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Do you mean that polygons will be added soon to the ArcGIS map visual? That would be cool! When will it be ready?
Hello Falco,
The ability is there now if the polys are in Esri JSON format.

We have a few blog posts on how to convert this, but right now working to squash a bug or two that slipped out on Tuesday. 😬
Whether to consider the ArcGIs Map visual object:
