Visualization ideas to represent hierarchical data and counts

Hi All,

Hoping you can help suggest visualization ideas on how to represent hierarchical data and counts over time.

My data set is about software release frequency, by product, over time.

The data hierarchy for the software is 3 levels (program level --> hub level (2nd level) --> product level (3rd level).

I would like to show the total count of releases by each of those levels, over time (year or month).

I would like the user to be able to select any of those hierarchical levels, and date, and then see total counts.

Currently, we have it split into two pages (1 page to show by product, 1 page to show by hub), but maybe it would be nicer to have in one page.

This is a sample of it, by hub, on one page.

Any ideas/suggestions or even sample reports representing this same type of data info, would be most appreciated!

Thx in advance.

Hi, @dnaman

You could try to use Drill-down or Small multiples to achieve it.
