My visual takes a lot of time to load...
its a table with 2 columns:
- first column is this one

The other column is just a DISTINCTCOUNT:

According to your statement, I think your issue should be caused that your calculated column from SQLBI will always create a rank in variable table and then repet adding space in your result by rank.
So each time you refresh your report , Power BI will calculate this column and your data size is too large, so it will take a lot of time.
I you try this in Power Query Editor, when you load data into Desktop, Power BI will remove the space in the end automaticlly.
So I suggest you to add the customer code into your visual to expand your visual and then turn off the text wrap function and set the column width of customer code column to 0.
