Visual error when columns renamed

Hi,

I am in Power BI and just want a simple table visual. I have dropped two data fields into the columns section;

a.) Image Requests Sent (%) and,

b.) Customer Images Received (%).

When I drag and drop, it automatically assumes the aggregation is a sum and so it renames it;

a.) Sum of Image Reqests Sent and,

b.) Sum of Customer Images Received.

And it works! Which is great.

However, when I come to rename the columns I dragged into my visualisation pane, to remove "Sum of " (so; Image Requests Sent & Customer Images Recieved), the visual throws up an error. This happens when I make my first change to one of the two columns.

I have tried re-typing "Sum of " back into my column name, but the error still remains. The only way I can show these two fields is by leaving it as "Sum of ...".

I have also tried changing the aggreation after renaming, from sum to average and back again. This still doesn't work.

I have also checked my data types and they're correct too.

If anyone has seen this error before, please let me know as the table obviously looks rubbish with "Sum of " before my column headers.

Hi @apaul6 

If you are performing an action such as renaming a specific visualization, this is not a logical operation that should trigger any error message. It also seems like there might be a new bug affecting this behavior.

If this is not the case, we need to understand exactly what the file looks like and what actions you are performing, along with the exact error message you’re encountering.

Therefore, please share a link to any public folder containing the file. You may remove or modify any sensitive data from the columns as needed.

Please share a simplified version of your PBIX file (in English) without sensitive data. You can upload it to a public cloud service like OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox and share the link. This will help in understanding your data structure and the issue, allowing for more precise guidance.
