Visual Interaction issue on Composite Model

Hello, I'm encountering an odd issue with visual interactions on a composite model:

I have a bar chart and a matrix. When I select a bar, it filters the matrix correctly. However, when I select another bar, the matrix does not update - therefore showing the wrong data fo the bar selected. I can only get around this by de-selecting the bar first, before selecting a new bar.

Considering the interaction works when starting from an unfiltered bar chart, but not when changing the selection, I wonder if the issue is software?

I am working in a composite model (Direct Query on Power BI datasets Preview Feature) and the visuals use different values (one is a measure from dataset 1, the other a column from dataset 2) but both visuals plot against the same dimension (department) where I have used the dimension table from dataset 1 and related this to dataset 2.

Hi @than688 ,

I am unable to reproduce your problem, when I change the bar in the composite model (directly from one bar to another), the matrix will change with it.

Please add the Department Code column of the dimension table (Department) in the bar chart and matrix and try again.

Hi Winniz, thanks for your reply. I had already added Department code to both visuals - this is the three-digit code highlighted in the screenshot. Highlighting bar chart '333' filters the matrix to '333' but when subsequently highlighting bar '337' (or any other) the matrix does not update, as shown in the screenshot.
