Variables

Hi everyone, I'm using an import of a table (so no direct link to the database). But I'm not allowed to use columns in a DAX formule. Even a simple var isn't allowed. Well, at least, I don't see them in the list, only my measure:

What do I miss? Thanks for your help.

Hi @Anonymous ,

This is because measure will return a value in Power BI, you could not refer the column directly, please try to use Aggregation functions, such as max(),min(),...etc.

I am sorry but the screenshot give ne advice where the problem can be.

You need a RETURN. Try this and you see if it not work.

Test =

VAR _test = 1

RETURN _test
