Variable or Parametering Report based on Log in
Hello,
I am looking to build a report that is specific to each user that is logging into powerbi.com/sharepoint.
I was wondering if there was a way to build a filter/variable/parameter to filter the the report on. Ultimatley I am looking to create a report that is filtered to each user/employee that each other employee cant see. So if I log in under my account, I wll see my data, whereas if I log in under another user, I will see their data.
The only idea that I was able to come up with would to build a spefic report for each employee, but that does not seem like an efficent way to create the report. I would need to create about 100 diffrent reports this way.
I dont know if there is a good way to do this, but any ideas would be much appreicated!

nathanhanser what you are looking for is row level security which can best be defined in SSAS (Multidimensional or Tabular). This way when user logs in to powerbi.com and open the reports he will see only what he is allowed to see.

Responding to HarrisMalik, I would like to emphasize that SSAS is not just the best way to define role-base / row-level security, it is the *only* way to do so currently for reports in the Power BI Service without using preview features.
If willing to use the Enterprise Gateway, then row-level security can be implemented natively in SQL Server 2016, Azure SQL DW, and Azure SQL DB.
