Trying to figure how to minus 2017-18 from 2018-19 to give me the variences rather than the grand total. I have looked and tried other sources but not working. Hopefully I have provided enough informaiton this time around.
@steele do you have date dimenson in your model? It will be very easy if you have date dimension, if not, you can easily add one (lots of blog posts are there)

@steele you need to add measure to get sum of prev year and then it is easy for variance
Sales PY = CALCULATE( SUM( Table[Sales] ), DATEADD( Date[Date], -1, YEAR ) )
then variance is easy.
