Hey everyone,
I recently built a fully functioning sales dashboard for my team with over 72 time intellgience measure to work out our sales performance (YTD PY, YTD PP, LW PY, LW PP, etc). I built this for sales we made in store. We receive the In Store sales daily, so the date column has no date gaps.
I have now been tasked with building the same dashboard for our online sales. In order to save hours of work, I have made a copy of the in store dashboard .pbix file, replaced the in store sales data with my online sales data source, and have changed the DAX formula references to the new data.
Unfortunately, because the online data we receive is aggregated to a 'week ending' date, and there is only 1 value per week, rather than daily, none of my time intelligience functions are working.
I considered adding extra rows with £0 sales for each missing day, so that my dates are contigous, but the sales value remains the same, but with over 600 products I wouldn't have the first clue where to start, and I am concerned this would result in my line graphs looking like an ECG, as it with plot the data daily ( Monthly would fix this but I want a weekly view on my line graph).
Basically, I am out of my depth and completely stuck on this issue. Does anyone have any clever way to deal with time intelligience calculations for data received on a weekly basis?
