Hello all,
I'm using Amazon Redshift connector and i have fact table with aprox. 200M rows. i'm currently using Direct query.
I want to try work with import and incremental refresh but i have noticed it is highliy recommended to ensure that 'Query folding' is working, but in my case, it's always greyed out. i have tried the below:
1. connect to my table through the navigation pane (e.g choose the table name)
2. connect to my table through SQL query (understood it is not recommended and can breaks the folding)
3. insert manually step with NativeQuery (via Value.NativeQuery M function)
all of these steps were failed and i'm still unable to get this feature on.
Hopes someone faced these issues and can assist here.
Thanks,
Hello @Anonymous ,
Are you sure that your datasource supports query folding ?
This is from microsoft : Most data sources that have the concept of a query language support query folding. These data sources can include relational databases, OData feeds (including SharePoint lists), Exchange, and Active Directory. However, data sources like flat files, blobs, and web typically do not.
