Using slicers to populate or enter data into tables

Very new to PowerBI.

Here are links to .PBIX and .XLS table, respectively for reference.

I have a dashboard with one chiclet slicer, and 5 slider slicers.

  • Project Number [chiclet slicer]
  • Acquisition Cost
  • Revenue Yield
  • Start Month
  • Start Year
  • Duration (mos)

From these inputs, I'd like to generate a new table that looks loosely as follows.  Then when I select a different Project Number, I'd like it to add the different inputs to the Table below.  On a related note, is it possible to change the "Project Number" slicer to a "Project Name" from a dropdown list?

Hi @mrothschild,

I have a little confused about your scenario.

As I understand, do you want to get the dropdown slicer like below?

dropdown slicer.png

In addition, it seems that you want to get the output you post.

If it is, please refer to the Page 4 in my attachment.

If you still need help, please describe the logic which could get your desired output in more details so that we could help further on it.

Best  Regards,

Cherry

Thank you, and apologies for the delayed response, I was traveling yesterday.

Your Page 4 is helpful and a great start, but not quite the solution.

The calendar month in your Page 4 starts at 10/31/18, and I want it to start, per the slide at May 2019 - I'll add in EOMONTH( ) to resolve the day.

In the table in my original post, I showed monthly revenue of 0.5, which was the 1% [Revenue Yield] Value in your slider * the 50 of [Acquisition Cost] value.

Lastly, what I'd like is to be able to add project, say 37, and append all the data shown on Page 4 to either an existing table, or create a new table from it that I can then use for visuals on Page 2.

Thanks!
