Using a reference table in PBI

I have account numbers that correspond to descriptions in another table. Currently the set up I have is one table has the account numbers another table has the account number and then in the column next to it the account descriptions. How can I get the account description from the second table into the first table without manual entering the values. I have googled this and tried using the related command as well as creating a relationship in PBI but the issue I run into is that there really is no relationship in the computer between the numbers and the words except that humans can understand the words and not the numbers. Thanks for the help.

Hi @Anonymous

You may try to add index columns for the two tables. Then use 'Merge queries' to get the new table. If it is not your case, please follow the How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly to post your simplified assumed data and expected output.
