I have one domain ID (123@abc.com) to access external data and second domain ID (456@xyz.com) to publish the dashboard internally. Is it possible for me to have connectivity with the external data using (123@abc.com) and at the same ability to publish it using other domain id (456@xyz.com). I want to build dashboard from external data and publish it internally to my organization. I want to do it without switching login ID from external to internal. Please suggest a solution.

Hey @negi007 ,
this is no problem, use abc.com to publish the Power BI report to a worksspace
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-create-the-new-workspaces
Depending on the nature of the data source and the connection mode (DirecQuery, Live Connection, or Import) you can configure the dataset inside the workspace for data refreshes
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/refresh-data
If the data source is on-premises it will become necessary to establish an additional gateway
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-onprem-indepth
Hopefully, this gets you started.
Regards,
Tom
@TomMartensThank Tom for your reply. Let me give you more detailed about my problem. There is a dataset which i can access using my 123@abc.com ID. Since, it is a external dataset, I want to be able to be connected with this dataset and create my own dashboard which I will publish internally using my other id 456@xxyz.com. Please advise how can I achieve it without switching my IDs. Let me know if you need more details.

@negi007 My friend @TomMartens already provided the solution, did you had a chance to look at it? if yes, what is not working, can you elaborate more? It is not clear what steps you have taken based on the information provided by @TomMartens

@parry2k @TomMartens In my external data source (abc.com) i only have access to a dataset which i can access using the login id and password provided by abc. Now I want to access the abc.com dataset and create reports and dashboard and publish them in xyz.com domain. How can i have data connection all the time with abc.com and able to publish/update my xyz.com dashboard. Please help in how can i have connection to the dataset in abc.com and at the same time I am able to create my own reports. I do not want to logoff and login between abc.com and xyz.com.

@negi007 connecting to a data source using a credentials is different than publishing to a domain.
Let's go step by step,
- connected to a data source using abc.com, and all good.
- on power bi desktop, on the top right corner, you log in with the domain in which you want to publish the report xyz.com
and now you publish the report....so what part is not working in this...You have to explain step by step, what you are doing, and what is not working? If you keep on repeating your question without telling if you are getting any error or something not working, it is very hard to figure out what is going on. I hope it helps.

As mentioned earlier I don't want to switch between two login IDs. I want to be able to connect to dataset in abc.com from xyz.com. is it possible? I should be connected to the latest dataset all the time. I hope it will be clear to you now what I am trying to achieve.

@negi007 not sure what you are referring to switch ids, one id is to connect to a data source other is to publish, you are not switching, you are using different ids for a different purposes. If this is not what I understood than I'm not sure about your question and I hope someone else can help.
