Hi there,
I would like to use a data table that I've created in a Power App as my data source for a Power BI dashboard. However, I am not quite sure how to do this. I'd like the data table to be a live connection so that as new data is added to the table, it is updated in the Power BI dashboard.
I have tried the pbids download from the Power App table, but when I tried to open in my desktop Power BI, it didn't work and the following error popped up: "Unable to parse data source file. The given data source reference is not a valid data source." I am not sure if this is the correct way to connect my data, and if it is, does anyone have experience with this error?
I appreciate any help or insight! Thank you!
Kate

As far as I know that is currently not yet possible. The only way to get to the data used by PowerApps is to connect to the same data source (a sharepoint list, for example) in Power Query. This also means that when your users update data in the PowerApps visual that change will not reflect immediately in the Power BI data model (only after a refresh).

I am waiting for proper data write back capabilities in Power BI for a while. The new Power Automate visual is a promising sign that the product team is working on something in that direction.
