Hi I would like to use the MID & FIND Functions the same way as I would in Excel. However any time I use FIND I get errors. Can anyone suggest how I should go about doing this?
Thanks!

Hi @marisap,
In your scenario, I would suggest you check the syntax of the FIND( ) function and MID( ) function in DAX firstly.
Also there is a sample for your reference. I have created calculated columns and specify expressions with FIND( ) and MID( ) functions like below:
FIND expression = FIND("Designer",'Table1'[Title],,BLANK())
Mid expression = MID('Table1'[Phone],5,8)
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

I'm using exactly that in PowerBI Desktop, in a PBIX file and getting: Expression.Error: The name 'FIND' wasn't recognized. Make sure it's spelled correctly.
